In conversation with Mr.Raymond Mays, who has run his 4¼-litre Bentley some 18,000 miles, I asked him what spirit (struck through) he ran on as I rather wanted to see whether he had had the misfiring trouble.

He has not had this trouble but what interested me was that he said he obtained the best results on Discol and always bought it whenever he could.

Having seem a memo. from Lp.{Mr Lappin} saying that the petrol pump (handwritten) carburettor (struck through) on his car had been altered to enable him to run on Discol, I asked Mays what he had done and he said 'nothing' so I am wondering what we did to Lp{Mr Lappin}'s car and why.
