June 3rd, 1918. RE"EAGLE" ENGINES - WATER PUMP - X.3307. Please receive herewith - E.15976 - Water Pump Casing (Lower Half). E.15977 - Water Pump Casing (Upper Half). Will you please instruct up three sets of these parts together with three sets of parts to supervision sheet E.14232 (with the exception of the casings), for test under the above X number. A new joint facing washer E.16017 will also be instructed for this experiment as soon as possible. Will Mr Cheetham please see that the joint facing bolt bosses are modified as per these drawings E.15976/7, in order to give an equal dimension from the edge of the bolt holes to the swirl chamber. This is very important. These drawings should be returned to the D.O. for checking, as soon as they have been issued to the exptl:Dept:etc. BY/JH. | ||
