706. To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} c. to Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} [Struck through] c. to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. [Struck through] Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}1/JH.15.9.41. Stiffened front brake carrier plate. Myth. PL.836, the original of which is attached to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH's. copy, shews a stiffened front brake carrier plate for Myth. The one shewn on PL.378 has buckled during dynamometer tests at Lockheeds. During a visit of Mr. Parnell of Lockheeds on Sept. 11th. it was agreed that the first set of parts to be supplied by them for the Myth shall include backplates to their drawings PR.906 and 907 so that we can test their stock form of water excluders. There is therefore no immediate need to order up carrier plates to PL.836. New brake drums are required to match up with the Lockheed carrier plates, and the required particulars for these will be given to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. as soon as possible.
