SPECTRECodename for Phantom III

A report on SpectreCodename for Phantom III Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RmS/KW21.5.25 was gone through in detail.

It was promised that SpectreCodename for Phantom III 3 should be ready to go to France not later than June 17th. This test would be chiefly for general design and structure. All being well the SpectreCodename for Phantom III could be expected to complete its tests in France by about July 10th.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} asked that a Sales official should go over with the car for part of the time.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} officials to be given an opportunity of trying this car before it goes to France.

A means of checking the loads of the shock absorbers is desired.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} reported that chunking in the drive had been traced to back lash. It may be necessary to adopt a heavier flywheel.

A revised four carburetter scheme was discussed which had no flat spots and improved consumption. It was not possible for this scheme to be on the car which goes to France but it is expected to be the scheme adopted for the first production cars. The matter is being specially watched to get the parts through for test.
