X6094 Roy {Sir Henry Royce} /CGS. from Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Wst. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Wst.2/ADL.3.32. HIGH TENSION RECTIFYING VALVE With reference to our enquiry re the above, we find that the type of valve used by other people for high voltage measurements is Mullard VU.50 valve. Will you please obtain a catalogue showing this type of valve and prices etc. We should also like you to approach the Ediswan Co. to ascertain what they can offer in the way of high tension rectifying valves of similar nature. The voltages we wish to measure with this valve are of the order of 10,000 peak. The impedance need not be necessarily low as the currents we wish to pass are negligible.
