We have received your memo HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/KW We sent you a report on the Valves yester- day. The Valve N° 4 exhaust S/SLV which broke, was so damaged that there is nothing to indicate whether the head dropped off or fractured. The head was found like a ball of steel on the top of the Piston. There has been no stretching of any of the Valves. Our daily chart shows them to have remained at .006 Clearance. We are holding up the dismantled Cylinder head for the valves you are sending out. ---------- G.W.H. | ||
