MATTERS ARISING OUT OF MINUTES- MARCH 9/35. (3). Worl/R.20.6.35. Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} MINUTE 5. SPECTRECodename for Phantom III GENERALLY. (Hyl/R.12.6.33. Minute 7.) "The engine size is to be 3¼" x 4½" bore "and stroke. "E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} pointed out that it may be necess- "ary to have the steering column between "the clutch and brake pedals and this "may be adversely criticised by Sales "Dept. "Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will arrange to find out how the "steering gear is positioned in other "makes of Vee-engined cars such as "Lincoln and Cadillac. "E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} said he will shortly have a general "arrangement drawing ready of SpectreCodename for Phantom III "which all can examine." MINUTE 7. P.II. Boring out cylinders etc. of 85-MS. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} states that we are awaiting test of the modified crankcase. MINUTE 10. ENGINE MOUNTING. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} states that we are awaiting test of the floating power system. MINUTE 11. "Z" SERIES MODIFI- CATIONS. Automatic control to Shock Dampers, to be fitted after 5,000 miles. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} states that we are fitting a set to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s car - 104-MY.
