To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X8290 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LG19.12.27. SPORTS PHANTOM CAR. X8390 We should like to have your opinion on 10-EX Undershields. At the moment we have no undershield proper on this car but in addition to the side valances, we have fitted a small portion of the present undershield which just covers the timing case. This arrangement keeps the underside of the gearbox etc. reasonably clean as the side valances seem to catch the majority of the mud thrown up by the front wheels. Some difficulty is experienced with the small front shield and the brake ropes, but we think we can fit quite a nice undershield. We should like your opinion on the stays for the valances. We suggest that when we have made the best job we know of experimentally, you come up here and see the car. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
