8290 RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ------ BY14/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 3.9.26. ---------------- 11-o 4/9/26 PHANTOM CAR - UNDERSHIELD. ------------------------ The special undershield which we have instructed experimentally, to part list No.G.74991 is also called for on production for C.2. Series, as it is a necessary innovation with the lightened front axle scheme. R.{Sir Henry Royce}, BJ. and Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} have agreed that we go ahead on C.2. Series with a new lightened front axle and all parts necessary for same. The point I have in writing this is that special attention should be given to pushing forward the new undershield so that same can be fitted to a car as early as possible and the Experimental Dept. satisfy themselves that the parts go together satisfactorily and represent a good job. Mr.Clough or myself would like BY/SS{S. Smith} to notify us as soon as it is ready, so that we can examine same. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
