I fear that the fitting of this method of battery-dynamo control has been rather a waste of time on this car, for the following reasons. The dynamo has beenfound not to be capable of a charge of more than about 5 amps. instead of about 14, and the battery on the car apparently is made up of three good cells and three cells whose life is almost finished, and are not reliable. In addition the vibrator-control device which probably accounts for the charge-rate from the dynamo being so small is fixed in a vertical position instead of horizontal, and requires adjustment. It would be very useful if we could get the battery conditions on this car made O.K. as soon as you can spare it for a day at W.
