R.R. 285A (100 T) (S.H. 768. 10-12-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2047 X1238 W/S. To C. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/TMW. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/TMW3/LG13.1.21. X.1238. RE RAPSON TYRES. Further to our Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/TMW3/LG3.1.21. We have been carefully watching the behaviour of the above tyres as stated in our Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/TMW5/LG22.12.20, and we have to inform you that they have now reached the end of their lives. The actual mileage being 4,629 fitted on rear wheels of the Demonstration Class Car. Their condition is very bad; the tread mostly having come away and one tyre having burst practically the whole width of the tread. In comparison, we consider the Dunlop Magnum Tyres would be in a better condition after similar mileage, under oridnary useage. These Rapson Tyres have had very little killing work as the Car referred to above on which they have were fitted is, obviously, practically the whole time used only at low speeds. If you would care to have the tyres forwarded to assist in the purpose you have in view, we should be happy to do so. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/TMW. | ||
