| WORM AXLE (Strength of Casing) Written by Mr Royce March 5th. 1912. Handed to T.C. on March 8th. Mr Royce said - Tests should be made to see if cross tie rod can be done away with. A sound but scrapped casting should be taken and the tubes attached, the axle should then be supported at both ends of the tubes and the centre loaded.
