FROM JAMES A.{Mr Adams} MALCOLM. TELEPHONE: VICTORIA 2531. 47, VICTORIA STREET, LONDON, S.W.1. November 4th, 1927. Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., 14, Conduit Street, W.1. For attention of Mr. Pooley. Dear Sirs, I have pleasure in enclosing herewith copy of a report by the Daimler Company of my lubricating pump. It is hardly necessary to point out that at the higher speeds, and as the pump was designed for 1000 r.p.m., the full delivery was not obtained owing to the suction port having a diameter of slightly less than 3/8", and that therefore a partial vacuum was caused during pumping at these higher speeds. After seeing this report I am naturally most anxious to hear how the tests have come out which you have conducted with the pumps I placed at your disposal. I am, Dear Sirs, Yours faithfully, E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Feuerheerd Enc. [Handwritten Initials]: PY Pd [Stamps]: POST 115 PM 4 NOV 27 Received 5 NOV 1927 | ||
