Dear Sirs, REAR AXLE PINION BEARING G.54444 With reference to your valued communication of the 14th instant regarding the above, we are proceeding to make up a bearing as requested, this being in every way the same as regards overall dimensions as that shewn on your drawing, with the exception that one half outer will be undersize in the same manner as the bearings we have previously supplied for the Bentley model. With this new bearing, the same proportionate increase in capacity will be obtained as with the smaller bearing, and while we have no details of the loads etc., we can assure you that the modification will give at least a further hundred per cent increase in capacity. We note that the smaller bearing is still on road test, and shall be very interested to receive your comments on its performance in due course. | ||
