SKETCH 4.
Car floor can be near.
Hand adjustment for wear.
Like a valve spring with piston like guide.
Release rod.
Fixed.
Fixed.
About 110°.
Brake pressure 4 times this rod tension plus self lapping effect.
Light or powerful brake can be made to this design.
I think this is my favourite for any of the purposes needed.
Both shoes are lapping in one direction - i.e. to hold maximum load, balanced in all ways - bottom shoes and lever must be stiff.
