SKETCH 4. Car floor can be near. Hand adjustment for wear. Like a valve spring with piston like guide. Release rod. Fixed. Fixed. About 110°. Brake pressure 4 times this rod tension plus self lapping effect. Light or powerful brake can be made to this design. I think this is my favourite for any of the purposes needed. Both shoes are lapping in one direction - i.e. to hold maximum load, balanced in all ways - bottom shoes and lever must be stiff. | ||
