RE - MODERATE SUPERCHARGER TYPE TEST
525 BHP. RATING.

(Py/Blb15/Av/Dll. 10. 28)

Captain Forsyth's message saying that we could not use the new camshafts arrived while Major Ross was at the Works yesterday. We discussed the matter with him, and it was agreed that the two hours acceptance test of the engine should be run with the old Camshafts and that besides doing this test we would run a power and a throttle curve. For the type test the engine would be erected with the new type camshafts and, of course, the power and throttle curves taken at the beginning of the type test as usual. We shall thus obtain a comparison between the two types of camshafts, and it was agreed that the type test would cover both forms of shaft.
