Dear Sirs,

With reference to your letter of the 31st. ult. We quite appreciate your difficulty with the standard parts for the K-S Telegage and under the circumstances agree that the hand painted sample you have sent us will be satisfactory for a temporary arrangement.

However, we ourselves feel that until we get a scale reading of 2¼" for the 20 gallons, we shall not get the full benefit from the Gauge. At the same time it is of course essential that the overall dimensions of the face should be kept down to the minimum.

With regard to your suggestion re. the tank calibration. We could let you have the complete car at your Works one day at the beginning of next week and if you could fit the gauge to the tank, calibrate it, and hand the car over to the coachbuilders within the two days, we feel that this would be the most satisfactory arrangement. You could then, as you suggest, fit the gauge up on the facia board in conjunction with the coachbuilders.

We are returning the sample gum bezel and face and should be interested to see anything that you have which reaches the size of the scale we propose.

Yours faithfully,
