Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Date 31. 12. 26. Page 3 would have to be hand-made, and it is almost essential for us to retain standard parts for the time being at any rate. The question of providing for the extra rise caused by the high side filler, if the tank in question is fitted with one, can be dealt with by an alteration which we are making to the top of the glass tube where it passes behind the bezel. We are arranging to take care of at least 6" extra head imposed by the side filler standing up to 6" above the top of the tank. We would lead our vent pipe into this side filler, and bring it up to the top, so as to make the job a completely satisfactory installation. The sample mask which we are sending you is merely illustrative of our suggestion, the calibrations being taken from the diagrams which you sent us of the gauge stick of your 40/50 h.p. car. Assuring you at all times of our best attention, We remain, dear Sirs, Yours faithfully, H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} HOBSON, Ltd., F.P. Searight. Director. + Being sent under separate cover. | ||
