1. I do not know whether you have any suggestions to make, but I must confess that I feel a little disappointed that I have to put up with an inferior performance, although I appreciate the better construction of the body and the riding comfort of the new car. I have another complaint about this car, and that is the steering is very heavy. This has been examined both at Derby and at your London depot, but little or no improvement has been made. On testing the tyre pressures, I find they are about 40 lbs., which is about 12 lbs. more than I used to have with the old car, and yet the steering is very much heavier. To manoeuvre the car, or to turn round a rightangle turn at low speed requires a very considerable effort which is very unpleasant. The steering appears to be very much lighter when travelling backward, which makes me wonder whether the angle of the axle-pins is incorrect. Yours faithfully, RFS/HC. Director. P.S. I have not yet received the inspection lamp, which I was told was to follow when I took delivery of the car. | ||
