Y4000 Expl: Dept: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}3/LG. 11th. Nov. 1926. The Westinghouse Brake Co.Ltd., 82, York Rd., Kings Cross, London N.1. Dear Sirs, With reference to your letter of the 10th.inst. Whilst the method of fixing the air spring device to the front of our car appears to be quite satisfactory, we do not like the idea of amputating the front extremity of our side members for an experimental test. We suggest that with a small amount of adaptation we could avoid this when we fit the first set. We should be obliged if you could try and alter the adaptors so that we can fix the air spring device without mutilating our frame or, alternatively, if you will send us two other views of the air springs shewn on DAH-126 we might see what we can arrange ourselves. We should prefer however that you evolve a modification as we might conceivably impair the functioning of the device. Yours faithfully, | ||
