E.7C. X4021. Date 3 - 4 - 30 Ref. No. W&13. X.NO 4021. Watford IS12 magnetos Nos. 98033/4. These magnetos have now been examined after completion of the 100 hrs type test of F39 engine. The magnetos were not completely dismantled so that it was only possible to inspect the contact breaker and distributor, the following being a report of the condition of these two components. 98033. Platinum points worn down about 25% no signs of burning due to oil. Slight burning of the distributor rotor points was apparent the sparks having burnt the small screw that secured the rotor sparking points in position. 98034. Platinum points very little worn at all, also only slight burning of the distributor points. The condition therefore of these magnetos from this external observation can be said to be very good and we have no reason to suspect that | ||
