Test results for two magnetos, identifying a fault in magneto No. 98034.

contd there is anything wrong with the internal parts.
There was found to be, previous to the type test, a discrepancy in the electrical performance of one of these magnetos No. 98034 both on the bench and on the engine. The electrical performance on the bench was therefore checked again after the above examination with the following results:-
No. 98033. - OK no appreciable change in performance.
No. 98034. misfires in the retarded position at all speeds (using 6' metal braided cables). In all other positions sparking was OK.
low speed performance :-
advance . 220 r.p.m.
25° retard . 500 r.p.m.
Full retard . irregular.
These tests show that this magneto is still faulty.
