To C.J. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X1729 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG3. 2.26. CADILLAC CAR. With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG2. 2.26 attached. It is Springfield who are anxious about steering wobbles on R-R cars. They have not yet built any cars fitted with front brakes, they have therefore not had any trouble with high speed steering wobbles. We understand that when they come on to the Phantom they are considering fitting front wheel brakes and they wish to know whether we have a positive cure for high speed wobbles. Their reason for raising this point is because they have found on a Phantom car which they are running that unless particular attention is given to wheel balance and tyre pressure, they have trouble with wobbles, also most American cars suffer in this respect.
