BENTLEY III REVISED.

10' 3" Wheelbase instead of 10' 6" as now but 2" more body space.

58" rear track instead of 56 1/2".

55" front track instead of 56 1/2"

Open type dropped frame with long cross and no wells in rear, low floor and overall height of body no greater than present (This requires careful consideration in respect to weight).

Rear springs outside of frame and flit gun dampers inside frame at rear.

Packard type front suspension including dampers.

No damper control and no built-in jacks.

Rubber or threaded shackles as and where required.

Revised rear spring specification.

1.375 Hypoid rear axle, with solid two pinion differential, and overhung pinion, casing of built up taper tube type or Plymouth scheme. Axle drivers to be semi-floating.

Wheel hubs to be bolt-on pattern 16 x 6 1/4 or 16 x 6 instead of 18 x 5 1/2 (and instead of 17 x 6 as originally proposed for B.III).

Front hubs simple type as for bolt-on wheel with opposed cone ball or taper roller bearings.

Alum. brake drums of 11" dia. instead 12" iron, and alum shoes without pivoted tips.

Girling or hydraulic brakes with external cylinders all round, with simple hand brake hook up.

Standard Hardy Spicer transmission shaft.
