Dear Mr. Robotham,

I thank you for your letter of the 15th instant and am sending you a copy of the position of the A.C.9. Bearings up to date.

You will see that we have delivered 99 pairs and 2 bushes to various firms and that we have 329 pairs and 12 bushes now being machined for other experimental enquiries, while, following on the work done between us, we have enquiries for 4,500 pairs from Leylands and Scammell; in addition to which, I am making very good progress with the tooling up of the job.

I hope, therefore, that very shortly we shall be in a position to give very quick delivery for experimental and also production requirements.

You will see, therefore, from this sheet that it is making very satisfactory progress.

There are one or two machines ordered for the job of which we have not yet been able to get delivery, but bearing in mind the conditions under which we are all working, I think the progress made can be regarded as sound and you can rest assured that once we have our machining arrangements all complete we shall then follow up all the experimental sets with a view to getting on to a production job as early as possible.
