My dear Robotham,

Thank you very much for your letter of the 18th instant. I have written to the Perkins Diesel Engine people and have put two sets of bearings in hand.

I thank you also for your report on the Dennis failure. Blackith's report was similar to yours, namely that the cast-iron crank case was pinching on the bearing. The replacements are being manufactured and Blackith is watching the job.
