When do you think that you will be able to let us have for PN.{Mr Northey} to try a chassis having front wheel brakes according to R's latest arrangement? I should like to have an approximate date as it affects other arrangements. I have seen the memorandum which R.{Sir Henry Royce} wrote yesterday and which should have arrived at Derby this morning, in which he talks of longer springs and bigger buffers, improved turning circle etc. Will this scheme involve scrapping of material or scrapping of work which has recently been done in connection with the front wheel brakes? Supposing that no further alterations are made, when do you suppose you will begin to deliver chassis fitted with 4 wheel brakes? CJ. | ||
