X8410 X8570 At the present time we have in the Expl: Dept: 2 sets of stiffer stronger rear springs which were originally for Sir John Latta's car and a London Trials car. From experiments we have carried out we find that these springs will only be suitable for people who are first and foremost speed fiends, and also it is desirable for the car to be fitted with Hartfords and Hydraulics if they are fitted. We are sending these springs over to Production. They should be utilised when a customer comes along who cannot be satisfied with the normal springing. We are not fitting them on the trials car, as it will have to be used for town work. The rating of these springs is 470 to 480 lbs/1" or equivalent to 2000 lbs/1" 25% stiffer springs with less initial camber. They give the effect of fitting very strong springs to a car and yet keeping it low down. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
