With reference to Mr. Hanbury's report No.229, re the above car, it is stated that the ball joints on the steering connecting rod have worn very badly.
As this wear does not occur on our standard cars, the Technical Committee are of the opinion that the leather covers at present fitted on this car are not as good as they should be.
Will you please take steps to have two new covers, one for each end of the horizontal steering rod, fitted to the above car.
