To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from EFC. c. to CJ. c. to Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} EFC5/AT25.11.18. X.1357 X.1374.-RE CAR LIGHTING SYSTEM. We attach copy of the letter received from the Sales Dept. in connection with the above. You will see that they apparently consider that the full output from the dynamo should be obtained at a speed a good deal lower than 15 m.p.h. Re the matter of half watt lamps, we are asking the C.O. to order up from the C.A.V. Co. some 12 volt half watt lamps for head lights, which we intend to run on the experimental and duty cars in order to test these out. The lamps we are ordering up at the moment are of 50 and 75 c.p. The 100 c.p. half watt head lamps are said each to take a current of 4 amps. and thus consume 48 watts apiece. Thus for the whole system of head, side and tail lamps we should require about 120 watts. EFC. | ||
