TABLE HEADERS:
Nature of Complaint. | No. of Cars. Pre-India. | No. of Cars. India Series. | Last Qtr's. Total. | Remarks.

ROW 1:
Nature of Complaint: Starter Motor Failures.
No. of Cars. Pre-India: W. -, N. 5, P. -
No. of Cars. India Series: W. 13, N. 21, P. -, Total 39.
Last Qtr's. Total: 25.
Remarks: With the existing design we still have trouble. Information has been circularised at different times dealing with the various methods of overcoming the trouble.

ROW 2:
Nature of Complaint: Steering Joggles and Wobbles.
No. of Cars. Pre-India: W. 3, N. 8, P. -
No. of Cars. India Series: W. 16, N. 24, P. 1, Total 52.
Last Qtr's. Total: 42.
Remarks: We are successfully dealing with the low speed steering wobble by fitting the spring loaded cross steering tube. High speed wobbles are practically non-existent. The latest worm and nut has considerably improved joggles, and we are introducing it on replacement for older cars.

ROW 3:
Nature of Complaint: Springs Front Broken.
No. of Cars. Pre-India: W. 2, N. -, P. -
No. of Cars. India Series: W. 2, N. 1, P. -, Total 5.
Last Qtr's. Total: 4.
Remarks: Pre-India type cars chiefly affected. The stiffer springs as used on India chassis are fitted whenever spring trouble arises. Up-to-date they appear to be giving satisfactory service. The best way of improving front spring life is to fit hydraulic shock absorbers.

ROW 4:
Nature of Complaint: Tappets Noisy.
No. of Cars. Pre-India: W. -, N. -, P. -
No. of Cars. India Series: W. 5, N. 2, P. -, Total 7.
Last Qtr's. Total: 12.
Remarks: Improved methods of manufacture improved clearances and better hardening. We have a lubrication scheme which can now be fitted when necessary.
