30. | 24. | The old design is improved and the modification is applicable to older cars. Up-to-date we have no record of a failure where all the latest modifications have been introduced. This is being carefully watched. We should like to hear from N. why the proportion of complaints with them is so much higher than with other Depots, if they are adopting all the latest modifications, and what particular part of the axle thrust goes wrong. |

27. | 20. | Scheme for allowing flexibility in servo operation has been standardised. On those cars where no flexibility device is fitted, the halos are re-bedded. A new fabric has been standardised for production cars, and will be tried out for the older cars. |
