2nd December, 1938.

B.B. Winter, Esq.,
Messrs. Humber Limited,
C O V E N T R Y.

Dear Winter,

I had the pleasure of trying Mr. Luyks 'Super Snipe' the other day. I congratulate you on producing a very nice motor-car.

By the way, somebody quite unofficially mentioned to me that you were not altogether satisfied with the bearings you are using. If you have any high performance engines on test experimentally, may we recommend our own Rolls-Royce aluminium tin alloy, with which we have been in production for the past three years. This bearing metal carries 50 to 100% greater load than babbit, and does not suffer from the corrosion troubles of lead bronze. It is also kinder to the crankshaft if used with proper filtration.

Yours sincerely,
