With reference to your report Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG26.11.25., it would be interesting to know what is the behaviour of the floating bush. Is it actually turning round, or does the test merely amount to running a plain bearing, and if the bush is turning round, at what speed relative to the shaft?
