6th September, 1938.

Dennis Bros Ltd.,
Guildford,
SURREY.

For the attention of Mr. Milne.

Dear Sirs,

With further reference to your trouble with the centre main bearing on your 100 x 120 'C' type, 4 cylinder petrol engine.

Our design department, are at present ascertaining the loads to which the centre bearing is subjected, and they will communicate with you within a few days.

In the meantime could you supply a detail drawing of the centre main bearing.

We would also be very interested to know, why the oil groove does not go round the centre of the bearing, instead of being offset and out diagonally.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
