X.4085 X4260 To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} c. to LHS{Lord Herbert Scott}½ HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/M21.6.24. RE. 20 HP. CHASSIS PRINTS - TOOL BOXES. X.4085. X4260 We thank you for your BY/C2/H21.5.24. and suggest that since we are prepared to standardise tie bars on the Goshawk, and these we believe project about 12¼" below the top flange of the frame, we can allow the coachbuilder to fit tool boxes projecting to an equal extent. The step iron is 8¾" below the top of the frame, and therefore the tool box could project 3½" below the step iron horizontal face. Will Derby please make the necessary modifications to the chassis prints. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
