LONG PATTERN REVERSE P.II.

We find that this reverse gear works further into mesh under load. At the moment the thrust is taken by the gear lever against the gate. We have discussed with TWD.{T. W. D???Aeith} the provision of a thrust face in the gearbox by inserting a bronze ring in the aluminium bearing housing the ring to have grooves for lubrication like the flanges of the 3rd. speed loose pinion.

Will you please instruct this to RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} so that we can get it fitted to 19-EX. when this car goes to France at Christmas.
