1158 Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.3/MH.{M. Huckerby} 28th. June 1938. Messrs.S.Smith & Sons Ltd., Cricklewood works, LONDON, N.W.2. For the attention of Mr.Grosé. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 25th. inst. and your offer to make us an experimental blower unit similar to your drawing EX.Y.10529. We think, however, that for the purpose of our test a standard HaDees Blower C.H.A.2 would be suitable and would, therefore, like you to forward us one of these immediately. We note that your charge for same will be £2.5.0d. and we are to-day sending you our official order for this unit. We should be interested to hear whether you know of any source of supply of suitable flexible hose ducting ?(of approximately 2" diameter) similar to vacuum cleaner hose, it has occurred to us that you may use some such hose in your tests. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
