NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I - LIGHTENED TYPE FRONT AXLE.

Replying to Ms1/P28.6.26.

As the new lightened axle will shortly be standard, we propose fitting all our experimental cars with this type. We therefore recommend that you obtain 6 forgings in place of 3. At the same time, consideration should be given as to when forgings must be ordered for production; the 5 weeks which was given some time ago as the latest date these forgings should be ordered, is now nearly up.

We think with the experience we have had with this axle, there would now be very little risk in ordering say 50 of these forgings for production.
