We hope that the results of our tests will enable R.{Sir Henry Royce} to agree to the omission of the mica plates in the Goshawk starter motor armature right away, and also in the case of the dynamo, provided the results of the tests which we propose to make, to show that the difference is also inappreciable in this case.

The matter of the £780.0.0. scrap we have passed back to My's Dept. for explanation, but we prefer not to delay this report until this is available.

We will write again for the purpose of giving this explanation and resend copies of standardisation sheets for GJ's and RJ's signatures in the event of the above remarks now enabling them to give these.

EFC.
