| - 2 - External Filler Disadvantages (contd) (B) It is vulnerable and as fitted to Bn{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington}'s car might quite conceivably, in the event of an accident, be knocked clean off the tank. There is probably a risk of fire in such a case. Advantages. (1) More accessible ( not very much). (2) Avoids the risk of petrol being spilled inside the tail - also extremely unlikely. (3) Slightly more luggage accommodation, <strikethrough>offset by the disadvantages mentioned in the foregoing.</strikethrough> (very small - a few cubic inches only) It does seem to us, therefore, that provided there is no manufacturing difficulty - and you have not raised such a difficulty with us although our present arrangement is to have the inside filler and supply outside fillers on demand - that the disadvantages of the outside filler easily outweight its advantages and point strongly to the desirability of retaining the inside filler.
