Origin To reduce heat under scuttle. Experimental Test Report. We recommend we wrap the exhaust pipe under the bonnet with asbestos cord. This slightly reduces heat under scuttle - it also enables magneto drive to be engaged when R.O.1. Magneto is fitted. Road Test Report. Fitted to 6-G-11 - run 1760 miles - no trouble. Fitted to 5-G-11 - run 460 miles. Fitted to 4-G-11 - run 320 miles. X No. 4238 Drawing No. Part List A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to customers. B Scrap and replace on Chassis in works. C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to test. D Use existing stock Alteration effective on future Chassis. Weight of Old Part.
