X.4079. To BY/Ds. from EFC. c. Sft.{Mr Swift} for Mr. Brock. EFC5/T29.8.23. X.4079 RE IGNITION COIL MOULDING - CASING FOR H.T. WIRE. It is considered that the socket for the H.T. wire is not quite deep enough and an addition 1/10" or 1/8" would be more satisfactory. Unless the H.T. wire is inserted with special care and forced up while the terminal point is screwed home, there is a possibility that the point pierces the rubber too near the end and they have even failed to grip the H.T. wire and prevent it being pulled out. We think that the D.O. should look into this with a view to giving extra depth on the coil case moulding, if possible. EFC. | ||
