RR 238 (300 Bks.) (SF 152. 6-11-18.) MP 197880 ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To Order No. PB 113 (2) Customer's No. No 3115 Quite O K when received. Primary tested on bench with 24 volts during which secondary broke down. Nothing further done. Remy Coil No 97908 Primary tested at high voltage during which secondary broke down. Failure confirmed on bench rig after which secondary was stripped. Primary again tested on large transformer for ten mins, and passed O.K. Primary then stripped. Two primary windings only, taken from old coils, were tested on bench at 24 volts in an attempt to break them down, but with no success. All coils were returned to production department.
