According to Mr. Appleby, there is at the moment quite an epidemic of complaints about rear axle periods on New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I chassis, some of which he has been able to cure by re-placing the large load ball race of pinion No. Hoffman 365, several of which have been found upon dismantling to be rather badly worn for mileages between 5,000 and 8,000.

I think this question of axle periods is one of the most urgently in need of improvement.
