Smith 628T 312. L.M.O/B/22.2.37. [Text crossed out] [Text crossed out] [Text crossed out] Copy to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Re Chassis No. 3.AX.97. Sir J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Letts. When we tested this car we found the clutch jaggered badly at times and also there was intermittent failure of the starter motor. One could press the button three or four times without result, after which it would work satisfactorily for a time and then fail again. We consequently arranged for the car to go to N. for a new clutch to be fitted and for the starter motor to be examined and made O.K. [Signature] | ||
