-2- Contd. (f) Ballast Resistance. This is wound on a porcelain insulator, protected by a metal casing, and is carried on the outside of the distributor casing. Its resistance cold is 2.24 ohms, and when carrying 1 ampere current 2.74 ohms. The whole, combined with an automatic cam advance governor, housed underneath the contact breaker, forms a neat compact unit and weighs complete only 3 lbs. 2 ozs. ---------- HPC/EHW. | ||
