perfect circle scraper ring are provided, with no stops, the piston ring gaps are cut at 45°. The gudgeon pins float in the pistons and are located endways in the piston by spring snap rings. The gudgeon pins are 2.795" long, outside dia. .875" - inside dia. .562".

CONNECTING RODS.

The conn. rods are described as being "made of forged aluminium alloy weighing 14 1/2 ozs. complete with bearing caps, bolts, bearings and piston pin bush", actually they weigh 1 lb. 15 ozs. complete. Fig.IV shews the chief dimensions. The big end bearing metal is poured directly in the conn. rods, pure tin being used for bonding the bearing metal into the conn. rod and the bearings are described as being "cast centrifugally". As will be seen from fig.IV, no liners are provided between the conn. rod and bearing caps.
