W. Cowen, Esq.
Messrs. Bentley Motors (1931) Ltd.
16, Conduit Street, W.1.

Dear Mr. Cowen,

Re Mr. Fedden.

On receipt of your letter of the 16th I investigated this case.

The car was delivered in May 1934. It was returned here in May this year to have a new type of front wings fitted, rear wings repaired and general adjustments carried out. Mr. Fedden stated then that he attributed the pillar cracks to front spring alterations carried out at Derby as reported to you in our letter of the 20th May last.

The next thing that happened was in July last when the car apparently met with an accident, severely damaging the rear boot and wing, etc. We submitted an estimate of £50 to the Insurance Co. but Mr. Fedden who was going abroad could not wait and carried out temporary repairs himself.

The position at the moment is that we are awaiting the car to carry out the repairs properly as arranged with the Insurance Co.

So soon as it arrives here we will take special care to see that, apart from the repairs due to accident, we will go over the car very thoroughly and embody as many as possible of recent modifications and improvements discovered since Mr. Fedden's car first went out.

By this means we hope Mr. Fedden will find the car perfectly satisfactory and perhaps in the mean-time you will ask him to let us have it here as soon as he can possibly spare it.

Yours sincerely
For PARK WARD & CO. LTD.
