Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}1/KT29.32 I should be glad to know what the essential features and differences in design are, between the automatic pump we now use as standard on P.II cars and the pump which was used on 19-EX, having certain features common with the A.C. pump, such as the special fabric employed. I would like to know why this special fabric is required in one case, if not in the other. In the test referred to [strikethrough]it is[/strikethrough] the statement is made that "the Autovac was run dry". Does this mean that the vacuum pump was then able to supply sufficient petrol for the needs of the engine at high speed and also was able to collect a considerable quantity of petrol in the Autovac ?
